Whip It Real Good!

Ok, that was corny but seriously congrats to Drew Barrymore! I went to see Whip It today and it was pretty cute. I will admit, the movie is not really my style but I love Ellen Page, so I had to go support. It was a pretty good flick. I definitely recommend.

Must Watch: Precious

Staring Gabourey Sidib, Mo’Nique & Mariah Carey, “Precious” tells the story of 16 year old Clarireece “Previous” Jones, a 16 year old African-American girl born into an abusive and treacherous life. Pregnant for the second time by her absent father, abused by physically and mentally by her mother – she lives a life no one would want. Unable to read or write, school too is a place with little solace. However, despite these pit falls she remains strong and aware of the possibilities her future still holds – despite her current situation. This story shows the journey of Precious, from the “darkness, pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination”

Must see

Every once in a while there are some movies,like American Violet, that come out, that challenges you are. It makes you wonder if the life you are living is YOUR VERY BEST? Who are you impacting? I have said so many times that I don't want to just take up space in life but feel like my life has a purpose. When I saw this trailer, I immediately became a fan. I plan on seeing this movie this coming weekend.
