I am so sorry to those who still follow my blog for neglected my blog but I have been SO busy with life, work, and helping my best friend sister plan her wedding! This wedding process has brought me closer to a lot of really important people and for that I am grateful. I am extremely happy for my babe! If she lets me, I will post the wedding pictures when we get them. (The wedding is in November!!!) Plus I have some really exciting news when things slow down. I am getting closer and closer to my dream of being a business owner and it feels great!

With that being said, I want these shoes BAD! Who cares if its a couple of seasons old...I still want them.

1. I play with my hair entirely too much...thus I love salon days when my stylist shampoos my hair. No matter how juicy our salon "celebrity gossip" gets I fall asleep within minutes! There is nothing like a deep conditioner and a scalp massage. Atl ladies; if you are ever looking for a great stylist hit up Nelda's in the Omni Hotel and ask for Renee. She will not disappoint!

2. Dinner parties...I love them. Can't wait to get married b/c I plan on having tons of dinner parties.

3. I haven't bought anything on eBay (for myself) in a few months. I am about to have a relapse.

Lean not on your own understanding...

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

I need a vase like this in my life.

Yesterday was a hard day; filled with a lot of self pity, confusion, and asking God why. I received confirmation that my job is laying off 15 associates. Yesterday, God let me have moment - my temper tantrum. Today, I listened. He didn't speak upon the possibility of being unemployed or what my next move is. I read the book of Samuel, to get a grasp of the life of David. I don't know what tomorrow holds nor do I have the "answer" to this situation but I am closer to "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." (Pro 3:5; Niv)

With that being said, I cannot promise updates around the clock but I will try to post ever so often. I off to enjoy my much needed day off. I plan on buying some flowers and indulging in some ice cream then kill myself at the gym (I know right oxymoron).

The sweetest revenge

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Sometimes the best revenge is time and silence. I am a firm believer in NOT getting people back. There are just principles in life that have been around for centuries. Whether you want to call it karma or divine intervention but what you do to others will always come back to either bite you or save you.

Lol, at the valet guy checking out what "The Nightmare" discarded. Girl werk!

Like Niecy Nash said, "... go on the breakup diet." "...drink champagne with your girlfriends but don't give up on love." Plus making sure you look your best while the scumbag is frockling around the beach with his man titties doesn't hurt!

If it sounds too good to be true most likely...

...it's too good to be true.

I find the humor in sites offering a pair of CLs for $200-300 and women think that these sites are legit! It's sad that there are women that fall for sites like this. Is it possibly to buy a pair of CLs at a discounted rate? Yes! If you are patient and an internet junkie; just stalk Barney's, NM, Saks, and BG during the major sale seasons (end of June and December) and I guarantee you can score a pair of CLs for approximately $300 to $600. Also, check out purseblog.com or thefashionspot.com they usually have really good leads. Do your homework ladies or just create a shoe savings account. I would rather do it the old fashion way. Go into a NM store and get up close and personal with the shoe that I will be spending loads of mula on. #imjustsaying

Oh Savannah

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

So over the 4th of July weekend, I went on my annual trip to Savannah. I can never get tired of this city. The city is filled with historical detail; from the willow trees to the brownstone homes to horse carriages. Every time I come, I always tell the beau that we need to get married in this city (it means a lot to us). And of course, his reply is "whatever you want." Guys are silly. We stayed mostly in the downtown are but did manage to venture to Tybee Island. Sorry, did not snap enough pictures...still try to find the best setting on stupid camera. I even spotted a bride and it was quite difficult to snap a decent picture while my body was half way out of the car.

Forsyth Park is a popular place for weddings...you can see why, right?

The lovely fountain!!!

I loved the homes and seeing the U.S. flag EVERY WHRERE made me smile.

You cannot see clearly but if you look closely, you will see a bride & groom that was crossing the street. I know they thought I was crazy but oh well!

A Perfect Collaboration

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

During my blogging hiatus, I missed the chance to share a match made in wedding heaven. It is currently wedding season; so imagine my excitement when one of my two favorite brands in the fashion and wedding world decided to collaborate. Yes! Thread Social is designing a collection of bridesmaid dresses for Priscilla of Boston. Remember the days when bridesmaid dresses were poufy, frilly, and tacking. Hopefully that will be a thing of the past.

Sheer Genius

Monday, June 21, 2010

This is why I love vintage clothes. One of kind that you cannot find anywhere. I am in love with this sheer green maxi dress. The sale still has 18 hours left in the bid and it is currently going for $81.

Still Here....

Thursday, June 17, 2010

So, do I still have people reading my blog? I am terrible for not updating my blog in so long. I don't really have any good excuses other than I am bored with the lack of content on my blog. I have a few different directions that I want to take it. But just wanted to say I have not completely deserted my blog. I will say, I have been in an eBay frenzy and can't wait till I post some of my new buys. Until then, take a look at how insanely dope (do people still say use that word) this dress is. If I had $100 to waste, she would be mine.

For Good Measure

Monday, May 10, 2010

I had to post these prom pictures of my baby, my little sister. She looked absolutely fab! A young fashionista in the making!

We went to NM Last Call and scored this great find. Would you believe me when I say it was House of Dereon? I know...I said the same thing when I saw the tag. I was planning a friend's 30the birthday party and both events were on the same day. We were going to go to MAC but ran out of time and I ended up doing her makeup. I was so proud of myself b/c it came out wonderful.

Dress: House of Dereon / Heels: Zara / Earrings: KJL / Clutch: Vintage, mom's closet

Her handsome arm candy.

Pretty Pink Box

I have the bestest (I know) friends in the world. One of my gf's gifted this big face Betsey Johnson watch. I love big face watches and ever since my Anne Klein watch was stolen, I've had a big face watch on my wish list. Not really a pink person but I love it as an accessory.

My eBay Treasure

Say hello to my very first "true vintage dress" from eBay and she is a beaute. This 80's dress is perfectly draped mixed with shoulder pads and a deep v-neck that oozes sexiness. And to top it off it was only $10 including shipping! I am hooked!

J Crew Jewelry Collection

If I could, I would have all of them in my jewelry chest. A girl can dream right? Wishful thinking at its best. *sigh*

Thank you for what you did for our country. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

How did I miss this?

Dang...and to think I was done shopping. Lol.

New Purchases

I returned the sandals I purchased from Charlotte Russe after winning these beauties on eBay. Antik Batik "Langoa" sandals. I also purchased these Kenneth Jay Lane earings from The Outnet in hopes of scoring an incredible deal from their 1 year old sale...but I shall digress. I love how the sandals and earrings match perfectly. I will be pairing these two items a lot this summer.
